We have all gone through training in the workplace, some good, some bad. So, why is proper training so important?
Why is training so important?
Training is essential to ensure employees can perform their daily tasks. Proper training is also needed to maintain skills, learn new skills, and to develop employees. Training comes in many forms from new employee onboarding, training an employee on their daily tasks, the annual compliance training to training on new company policies.
So, what are some of the reasons for training:
Reduce turnover from burnt out and drained employees
New software/technology rollout
Change management
As lifelong learners here at Hudec Consulting, we encourage ongoing training for a few reasons:
Develop employees to move up within the organization
Create a buffer for big changes implemented
Help foster team dynamics
According to Statista, in 2020, North American companies spent $165.3B on training. Since 2020 several things have caused organizational shake ups (i.e., COVID, inflation, and ongoing talks of a recession). We are living in turbulent times with lots of uncertainty, but one thing is certain: training is a high priority! With a significant amount of money going towards training, organizations should be ensuring their training is efficient and engaging.
Let Hudec Consulting help your organization navigate the training world and increase work efficiency and productivity.
